Subcoherence
Subcoherence is a bass-driven artist whose sound is shaped by a life lived across diverse landscapes from his early roots in Utah to growing up in Alaska. Surrounded by constant change, he developed a deep appreciation for music at a young age, first performing as a soloist in multiple school choirs. As a teenager, he discovered House and Techno, sparking a passion for electronic music that would only grow stronger. That passion fully ignited the moment he encountered Drum & Bass at a rave an experience that cemented his love for high-energy, bass-heavy sound. Blending influences across the bass music spectrum, Subcoherence delivers sets and productions defined by deep low-end pressure, intricate drum patterns, and immersive atmospheres. While he had been experimenting with production for years, he began taking his craft seriously around 2020, refining a sound that is both dynamic and distinctive. He is currently a resident DJ on the Techneck NRG Radio Show, broadcasting out of the Netherlands, and continues to expand his reach with performances across the scene including an upcoming appearance at Q Forest Festival in Colorado. His recent releases, including “Cymbala” and “Ghost Wave,” showcase his evolving style melding complex rhythms with deep, textured basslines to create a unique sonic experience. Outside of music, Subcoherence stays grounded by spending time with family and embracing the outdoors hiking, camping, and fishing while remaining deeply connected to the scene by supporting local shows whenever possible.
